Our Mission is to contribute to poverty alleviation in Ijesa North through skill development and economic empowerment for the less privileged.

Economic Empowerment

 It is the intention of the Aribisala Care Foundation to focus on areas of economic empowerment that will transform the communities of Ijesa North into self-sustaining productivity hubs. Our planned activities will include the following:

  1. Providing micro-credit facilities for farmers, artisans, and market women and other cottage industries to enable business expansion
  2.  Running skill acquisition workshop centers to educate the populace about small -scale businesses that could be run with minimal capital
  3. Helping businesses in the area build up knowledge of modern business practices and improving entrepreneurial skillsets

Educational Outreach Programs

Aribisala Care Foundation, through its various educational outreach programs, will focus on working with private and public educational institutions in Ijesa North to raise the standards of education in the area. This will include the following activities:

  1. Partnering with state and local government authorities to ensure students are taught in conducive environments
  2. Providing financial aid by way of scholarships to indigent students in these communities 
  3.  Renovation of dilapidated school buildings and laboratories

Healthcare

The outbreak of COVID-19 and its attendant consequences, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas, has once again brought a renewed focus on health. We have identified the areas highlighted below as urgent areas for attention:

  1. Provision of clean water to Ijesa North communities through the installation of self -sustaining boreholes.
  2. Procurement of medical equipment and consumables to hospitals in the Ijesa North area
  3. Regular medical intervention drives to sensitize and educate the population about preventable diseases 
  4. Campaigns and sensitization on the dangers of chronic illnesses which affect sexual health and wellbeing such as HIV/AIDS.

Prior Foundation Events
2018 Christmas Outreach – December 21, 2018
This was the first official program for the Foundation and was organized to celebrate the holidays with the people of Ijebu-jesa, Osun State, Nigeria. We provided meals to approximately 300 families in the area which was used for the festive season. The meals were shared across all segments of the community, including students, artisans, people of various faiths, the physically-challenged, and widows.
2019 Educational Outreach- September 23, 2019
This project was geared towards primary and secondary students in Ijesa North, with a Phase 1 pilot program rolled out and launched in Ijebu-jesa. As part of the pilot program, students numbering 5,000 and in various schools in the town were provided school supplies such as writing materials, writing books, school bags, pens, and school texts.
BUSINESS EMPOWERMENT SCHEME
On December 22, 2020, Aribisala Care Foundation will be organizing a Business Empowerment Program aimed at equipping small and medium scale businesses (SMEs) in Ijesa North.
Public Hygiene Sensitization

On June 16-18, 2021, Aribisala Care Foundation embarked on a sanitation drive for selected markets in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State. The markets visited were in Ijebu-Jesa, Erin -Ijesa, Ipetu-Ijesa, and Owena -Ijesa towns. During the outreach , volunteers from the Foundation and Osun State sanitation officers addressed market leaders, community leaders and the general populace about the importance of sanitation in public places and also educated them about the COVID -19 pandemic. Healthcare disposables such as face masks, dustbins, and packers were distributed in each of the markets. Signposts were also erected in each of the markets to commemorate the event.

Aribisala Care Foundation (ACF) is a Nigerian-based NGO that is focused on sustainable development in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment of the residents of Ijesa North in particular and in Nigeria in general. Since our inception in 2018, our organization has sought to partner other well-meaning private organizations and government agencies to devise programs to uplift Ijesa north communities economically and provide succor for the less-privileged in these areas. These programs will consist of various developmental projects which would be implemented across the length and breadth of Ijesa North.

Abiodun Mobolaji Aribisala is a New York, US based attorney and international tax expert with experience in all aspects of cross-border transactions, dispositions, restructurings, including global transfer pricing risk assessment and compliance for clients in various industries.

02- Elizabeth Tunrayo Aribisala
Mrs. Elizabeth T. Aribisala
Trustee

Elizabeth Tunrayo Aribisala retired from the services of Oyo State Government as a career public servant after having served 35 years in various positions. During her time in her role as Chief Confidential Secretary, she worked closely with different commissioners in various government parastatals.

Her roles included providing technical and logistic support on special projects, providing advice to military administrators (later state governors upon the advent of democracy in Nigeria), and coordinating government activities, conferences, and workshops. During her career, she was the recipient of many state awards. She retired in 2005 and currently serves on various boards in an advisory capacity.

Dr. Sam Ade Jacobs is a California, US based Computer Scientist with expertise in big data analytics and large scale artificial intelligence/machine learning  technologies. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.

04- George Abu
Barr. George Abu
Trustee

George Abu is an attorney with close to two decades of experience in oil and gas (upstream), legal advocacy, reconciliation and arbitration, contract drafting, due diligence, compliance, and administration. His clientele spans various industries such as energy, financial services, and information technology.

He is called to the Nigerian Bar and also holds a Masters’s degree in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

Olaotan Ilesanmi - ACF
Mr. Olaotan Ilesanmi
Volunteer
Mr. Ilesanmi is a seasoned finance and IT professional with extensive work experience in multinational financial institutions over the last 12 years spanning across client-support, small business support, change/project management, and policy formulation.
He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, a PRINCE2 certified professional, and a certified scrum expert ( Scrum Master and Product Owner).
He currently consults for many small businesses in strategy and tactics as a business coach in an advisory capacity.
His interests include debating, reading, and traveling.
Seember Nambe - ACF
Dr. Seember Nambe
Volunteer
Dr. Nambe is a trained physician with significant experience in primary healthcare delivery, particularly in rural and semi-urban communities. She has provided clinical services in and continues to research critical
areas of public health such as maternal-infant mortality, malaria prevention and eradication, HIV/AIDS prevention, and general sexual health. She is an outspoken advocate of the benefits of wellness programs and how the importance of making healthy day to day choices.
